Gulshan Watch Company

Being on the Main Road near Kota Junction means we see a lot of people passing through. Gulshan Watch Company is right there in the thick of it. Travelers often come in because they realize their watch isn't working right as they’re heading to the station. We try to help them out fast so they don’t miss their trains. The shop is usually a bit dusty because of all the traffic on the main road. I spend a lot of time with a cloth in my hand. We have a lot of different watches in the window to catch people's eyes. It’s a loud spot with all the horns and engines outside, but you get used to it. Inside, it’s just the sound of clicking and the hum of the fridge in the corner. I’ve been working here for a long time. I know most of the other shopkeepers around the junction. We all look out for each other. Sometimes a repair is tricky and I have to tell a customer to come back the next day. They don't always like it, but you can't rush this kind of work. You have to be careful with those tiny wheels and pins. It's a steady job that keeps us busy from morning to night. We don't use any fancy machines, just the same hand tools we've always used. It feels good to be part of the daily rush of the junction while doing such quiet, precise work.
