Kota is a busy place, and our store is right in the middle of it. Gopi Chand General Store has been part of Kota City for a good while now, specifically in the 324006 area. Dealing with the heat and the crowds here in Rajasthan is just something you get used to when you run a shop. We keep things pretty simple. It’s a general store, so that means a bit of everything is packed into the space we have. From stationery for the students to the basic food items that every household needs, we try to have it ready on the shelves. The shop doesn’t look like those big malls you see nowadays. It’s more of a traditional setup where things might be stacked a bit high, and you have to ask where something is if you can't see it right away. Every morning we roll up the shutters and start the day by cleaning the front area. The street outside can get quite noisy with the traffic and people walking by, but inside it’s just about getting orders filled. We don’t do any big promotions or anything like that. People come here because they know we are here and they know what they need for their homes. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, serving the people who live in this part of Kota day after day without any fuss or complicated systems.
