Gaurav Gift Centre

Our shop is called Gaurav Gift Centre and you can find us at Kothari Katla, right in the Jhalawar New Cloth Market. It’s a busy area where people are always looking for something new. Kothari Katla has its own feel, with lots of little shops close together. We focus on gifts because that’s what we know. Whether it’s something for a kid's birthday or a small item for a housewarming, we try to keep it on the shelves. The shop is narrow, so we have things lined up along the walls from floor to ceiling. It can be a bit of a puzzle getting things down sometimes. The New Cloth Market is always full of people, especially on the weekends. We don't have a mission statement or anything fancy. We just come in, sweep the floor, and get ready for the day. Most of our customers are folks who are already in the market for clothes and want to pick up a gift while they are at it. It’s a lot of work to keep everything tidy with so much dust from the street, but we do our best. We’ve seen many shops come and go, but we just keep doing our thing here in the Katla. It’s a honest way to make a living, and we like being around all the other traders. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks in, and we just try to be helpful to anyone who comes looking for a nice item.
