Divesh Traders Kirana Store

Indira Market is a very busy place to be, and Divesh Traders Kirana Store is right in the middle of all that chaos. Our shop is where we spend almost all of our time every single day. We keep sacks of rice, pulses, and sugar stacked up against the walls, and the whole place smells like spices and soap. We have to get our stock delivered early in the morning before the sun gets too hot and the market gets too crowded for the trucks. Dealing with the suppliers takes up a lot of our morning, but it is the only way to keep the shelves full for the customers. People come in with their shopping lists written on little scraps of paper. Some want the expensive brands of ghee, while others are just looking for a small packet of biscuits or some loose tea. We know most of the people who live in this part of town by their faces. My son does the heavy lifting with the oil tins and the large bags of flour. The floor is just plain concrete and it gets dusty pretty fast, so we have to sweep it a few times a day. We don't use any computer systems here, just a simple notebook to keep track of our daily sales. It’s not a fancy place like those big supermarkets, just a local spot where you can get what you need for your kitchen without any fuss.
