Dil Mandir Pan Palace

The shop is right here in Sangod near the Furniture Ind Area on Kota Road. People call it Reti Pada. I've been opening the doors every morning for a long time now. It’s just a small place for pan and some other small items people need while they pass through. Usually, the area gets busy with workers from the furniture shops. They come in for a chat or just a quick break. I don't really have a big team or anything, just me and sometimes a boy to help out when things get crowded in the evening. Life around here moves at its own pace. Some days are slow and I just sit on the stool watching the trucks go by on the main road. Other days, I can barely keep up with making the pans. I try to keep everything stocked up like cigarettes or matches and the usual things you find in a palace like this. It’s not fancy. The walls could use some paint maybe but it works for us. I know most of the faces that walk in. It’s nice to hear the local gossip or just ask how someone's family is doing. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here. If you are ever on the road near Reti Pada, you will see the sign. It’s been there forever and I don't plan on moving anywhere else soon.
