Dhan Vantari Clinic

Down on Khanpur Road in Salpura, life moves at a different pace than the big cities. Our clinic is right there on the main road, which is the heart of the activity in this part of the Baran district. It’s a small place, nothing too fancy. We have a few chairs for people to sit on while they wait their turn. The floor is tiled, and we try to keep it as tidy as possible, though the dust from the road always finds its way in. Most of the people who come here are farmers or workers from the local area. They’ve been coming to us for years. We know most of them by name, and we know their families too. It feels more like a community spot than just a clinic. Sometimes we sit outside on the bench when it’s not too hot, just to watch the bikes and tractors go past. The weather can be really harsh here in the summer, so we have a couple of fans that stay on all day long. They make a lot of noise, but they keep the air moving enough to be comfortable. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us handling everything from the front desk to the consultations. It’s a lot of work, but it feels good to be useful to the neighborhood. We open early and stay until the last person is seen. It’s just how we do things in Salpura.
