Devendra Kumar Agarwal

My office is right near the Clock Tower in Mangalpura. Jhalawar is a small place, and the Clock Tower is the heart of it, so everyone knows where I am. I’ve been working here as Devendra Kumar Agarwal for many years now. It’s a simple setup. I have a desk, some old wooden cupboards for the records, and a couple of fans that work hard during the summer months. Most of my clients are farmers or small shopkeepers from around the 324007 area. They come to me when they have issues with their land papers or need help with their annual filings. I don't use a lot of fancy technology; a good calculator and a notebook are often enough. I like the pace of life here. It’s not like the big cities where everyone is in a rush. People stop by to talk, and we get the work done at a steady pace. I’ve seen kids grow up and take over their fathers' businesses, and they still come to this same office. It makes me feel like part of the furniture in this neighborhood. I don't have a marketing team or a website. I just have my name on a board outside. If I do a good job, people tell their neighbors, and that’s how I stay busy. It’s an honest way to make a living, and I wouldn't change it for anything else. We just take it one day at a time here near the tower.
