Civil Services Academy is tucked away at Talwandi 5-A-3. If you walk around this area, you'll mostly see students carrying heavy bags and looking a bit tired. We spend our days here surrounded by books and stacks of notes for the big exams. The rooms are usually filled with the sound of pages turning and someone explaining a difficult topic. It isn’t a very big place, just a few rooms where people sit and try to memorize enough to pass. We don’t do anything fancy with the decor, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and whiteboards that have seen better days. The weather in this part of the country can get really hot, so the coolers are always running in the background while we work. Most of us here have been through the same grind ourselves, so we know how it feels to stare at a book for ten hours straight. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake and talk about the news or whatever might come up in the papers. People come to us from different places, hoping to make something of themselves. It’s just a regular cycle of classes and tests. Sometimes we stay late to help someone who is struggling with a concept. It’s not an easy life, but it’s what we do here at the academy in Talwandi. We just keep our heads down and focus on the syllabus every single day.
