Kota Trading Stone

If you find yourself near the Ridhi Raj Tower or the other Rishiraj Tower in Kunhari, you’ll probably see us. Kota Trading Stone is right there at the Chunu Chowraha Main Circle. It’s a loud spot with all the traffic coming through the intersection. We’ve got stones stacked up where people can see them as they drive by. Sometimes the dust from the road covers everything, so we have to spray the slabs down with water. It makes the colors pop for a little while anyway. There’s always someone stopping to ask for directions since we are right at the circle. We don't mind. We’ve been here long enough to know the way around Kunhari pretty well. The shop is mostly open air, which is nice when there is a breeze, but not so great in the summer heat. We have a small shed where we keep our tools and the ledger. It’s a lot of manual labor, loading and unloading the trucks that pull up right on the edge of the circle. You have to be quick so you don't block the traffic for too long. It’s a hectic way to work, but we are used to the rhythm of the chowraha by now. We usually close up once the sun goes down and the streetlights come on. It's a long day but the work gets done.
