Change Store

The Change Store is situated right near the Char Gankho Temple in Paree, Chomu. It’s a bit of a landmark for people around here. If you ask anyone near the temple, they can point you toward us. Chomu is a place where things move a bit slower than the big cities. We like that rhythm. Our shop is small and we don't try to make it look like something it isn't. It’s just a room with our goods and a place to sit. We spend a lot of time talking to the farmers and locals who pass by on their way to the temple. Sometimes the monkeys from the temple area cause a bit of trouble, but it’s all part of the daily routine. We don't have fancy lights or air conditioning. We just open the doors and let the breeze in. It gets dusty, but that’s just how it is. We’ve been here for a while now and we don't plan on going anywhere else. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We don't use any corporate talk or big words. We just talk to people like they are our neighbors, because mostly, they are. Life in Chomu is about being part of the community. We see the same faces every week. It’s a good feeling to be recognized. We just keep the shop open and see who comes through the door each day.
