Bmb Sweets & Mamkeens

If you live around Talwandi, you probably know where Bmb Sweets & Mamkeens is located. We’ve been serving this neighborhood for quite a while. It’s a family-run place, mostly. Every morning starts early with the frying because the namkeens need to be fresh for the crowd. The smell of oil and spices usually fills the street before most people are even awake. All kinds of sweets are made here too, whatever is in season. When festivals come, it gets really crowded and we all have to work extra hours. My brothers and I handle the counter mostly. Packing boxes and weighing things out takes up most of our time. Sometimes the scales act up, but we fix them. We aren't trying to be some big fancy chain. Just making sure the laddoos taste right and the sev is crunchy enough is what matters. Customers come in and complain about the traffic outside, and we just listen while scooping out their orders. The shop isn't huge, so it gets tight when five or six people are waiting. Moving fast is the only way to handle it. It’s just a regular shop doing regular work. No website or anything like that exists for us. People just walk in. That’s how it’s always been for us here. The routine and the familiar faces that stop by every morning are what keep us going.
