You can find Bhagwati Namkeen & Sweets right on the Saraswati Colony Main Road, which stays pretty busy from morning till night. We start our work very early, long before most people are even awake, because the frying takes a lot of time. The smell of the spices and the oil usually fills the air around the shop by seven in the morning. We make our namkeen in big batches and try to keep the glass jars full so everyone can see what’s fresh. It’s a lot of heavy lifting with the big sacks of flour and sugar coming in every few days.
