Bansal Kirana Stores

This store has been sitting here in Bajaj Khana near Kherli Phatak for years. It’s a typical kirana shop where we stock all the daily essentials people need for their kitchens. We have bags of rice, lentils, and different spices stacked up against the walls. It gets pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work and realizes they forgot to buy something for dinner. We know most of the families around here by name. Sometimes we just sit and talk for a bit while we weigh out the sugar or flour. The shelves are packed tight, and sometimes you have to move one thing to get to another. It’s not the most modern setup, but it works for us and the customers. We get our deliveries early in the morning, so the sidewalk is usually covered in crates for an hour or two. My hands are always a bit dusty from handling the sacks of grain. We try to keep things simple. If you need a specific brand of tea or just some soap, we probably have it tucked away somewhere on a shelf. The fan overhead clicks a bit when it’s on high, but it keeps the place cool enough in the summer heat. We don't have any fancy displays. Just the stuff people actually use every day in their homes. That’s how we’ve always done it here in this corner of the market.
