Baldua General & Fancy Store

Our store is Shop Number- 2 in Dada Bari, Kota. We are in the Teacher Colony area, specifically in Meera Market, Phase 1. Kota is famous for its students, and we see many of them here. We call it a General and Fancy Store because we keep more than just groceries. We have some gift items, bangles, and stationery along with the usual household stuff. The shop is in a good spot where teachers and students pass by every day. It’s a bit of a mix. One person wants a kilo of flour, and the next person wants a birthday card or some hair clips. It keeps the work interesting. The market has a lot of energy. I usually sit at the entrance so I can see everyone coming and going. Rajasthan can get very dry, so we keep plenty of cold water and drinks in the cooler. The shop is our main source of living, and we take care of it. We don't have fancy lights or any big displays. Everything is just laid out on the shelves where people can see them. We’ve been part of Meera Market for years. It’s nice to see the same families coming back. We try to keep things honest because we know most of our customers personally. It’s just a regular local shop. Nothing too complicated about it. We just open up and wait for the day to start. It is a simple business for our family.
