Associated Engineers & Allied Products

We’ve been at 40-C Shopping Centre for quite a while now. Most days start with opening the shutters early when the morning air is still a bit cool. The shop isn't fancy, just a lot of shelves and parts we’ve gathered over the years. We deal with engineering stuff and various allied products, mostly helping folks who come in needing a specific bit of hardware they can’t find elsewhere. It’s a busy spot here in the shopping centre, so there is always someone walking by or sticking their head in to ask a question. My desk is usually covered in papers and some old catalogs that we still use because they’re easier than the computer sometimes. We have a small crew and we just get on with the work. Some of the machines are old but they run fine if you know how to handle them. Usually, we take our tea break around eleven and talk about whatever is going on in the neighborhood. It’s not a big corporate operation, just us doing what we know. People know where to find us if they need something fixed or a part replaced. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but you get used to it after a week or two. We try to keep things organized but in a place like this, there’s always a bit of grease or dust on the hands. It’s just part of the job we do every day.
