Ashoka Kirana Store

I have been running Ashoka Kirana Store on Rangpur Road for quite a while now. It is a small place where people from around here come to get their daily things like dal, rice, and soap. Most mornings start early because folks want their milk and bread before heading to work. I usually sit at the counter and keep track of who needs what. Sometimes the stock gets a bit low when the truck doesn't show up on time, but that is just how it goes in a neighborhood shop. The shelves are packed with all kinds of packets and boxes. It can get a bit dusty sometimes because of the traffic on Rangpur Road, so I spend a lot of time wiping things down. My family helps out too when things get busy in the evening. We know most of our customers by name since they have been coming here for years. We do not have any fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a regular shop where you can find the basics for your kitchen. I try to keep the prices fair so people keep coming back. Sometimes people stay for a chat about the weather or local news while I weigh their sugar. It is not a big corporate business, just a local spot that stays open until late at night. I keep a ledger for the regulars who pay at the end of the month. It is a lot of work but it keeps me busy and connected to the people on this road.
