Ashok Shoe Store

Ashok Shoe Store is right on Chhawani Road. It’s a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. You can find shoes for kids, work boots, and sandals all piled up. We don't have fancy displays or those bright lights you see in the malls. It’s just us and a lot of boxes. Sometimes the boxes get a bit messy, and it takes a minute to find the right size, but we usually get there. The street outside is always busy, so there’s a lot of dust that comes in through the door. We spend a lot of time sweeping. People from the neighborhood come in because they know we don't charge too much. We talk about the weather or the local news while they try on different pairs. We don't have a website or anything like that. If you want shoes, you just come down to Chhawani Road and see what we’ve got on the shelves. Sometimes we run out of the popular styles, but we try to get more in when the truck comes. It’s a simple way to run a business. We’ve been here for a long time, and we know most of the families around here. We just like selling shoes and seeing people walk out with something that fits them okay. It’s not a big corporate chain, just a local shop where you get a fair deal. We keep it honest and try to help everyone who walks in.
