Ansari Kirana Store

Ansari Kirana Store is right in the middle of Kota Choth Mata Bazaar. It’s a busy area because of the bazaar and the people coming to visit the nearby spots. The store itself is quite small, but we manage to keep a lot of inventory. We have rows of cooking oil, bags of salt, and different types of dal. The floor is made of grey stone which stays relatively cool in the heat. Kota Choth Mata Bazaar is always full of energy, especially in the evenings when everyone comes out to shop. I spend my time arranging the smaller items like matchboxes and packets of spices near the front counter so people can see them easily. The wooden shelves are a bit crooked in some places because of the weight of the jars. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations, just the products themselves filling up the space. The air in the bazaar often smells like incense and street food. I usually open the shop early in the morning before the crowd gets too thick. It’s a lot of work to keep everything dusted, but I try my best. People know us by name around here. Ansari Kirana Store is just a part of the daily life in this market. We have a small radio that plays old songs while I work. It’s a decent place to spend the day, watching the world go by in the bazaar. Sometimes I sit on the small wooden bench outside for a few minutes to catch some fresh air while the sun goes down.
