Annapurna Mishthan Bhandar

Annapurna Mishthan Bhandar is situated at Kanchhwa Chourah on Udyog Marg. It is a busy spot where several roads meet, so there is always a lot of traffic and people passing by our windows. We have been at this location for a long time and have seen many changes in the streets around us. We focus on making traditional sweets and snacks that people in this area enjoy. Every single morning, we start our work very early to get the batches of milk and sugar ready. The kitchen stays quite warm all day because the burners never really go off until we close up late at night. We do not have much room for people to sit down, so most of our customers just buy what they want and move on. It is a very local kind of place. We recognize most of the faces that come through the door, as they are people who live or work nearby. We do not spend money on fancy decorations or bright lights. The counters are a bit old and the walls might need some work, but we care more about the food we are making. Sometimes we run out of the most popular sweets by the afternoon, especially when there is a festival going on. We just tell people to come back the next day. It is a simple way of doing things. We just stay behind the counter and serve whoever walks in. We keep the shop open every day.
