Anand Watch Empourium

We've been sitting here in Gumanpura for a long time now. People come by Anand Watch Empourium when their straps break or the battery finally gives up. It’s not a fancy place, just a small shop with a lot of clocks ticking on the walls. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with all those chimes going off at once. We spend most of our mornings opening up cases and looking through those little magnifying glasses. It’s quiet work, mostly. You get used to the smell of old oil and the tiny screws that always seem to roll off the table. My father used to say that a watch is only as good as the person who takes care of it, so we try to keep things running. Neighbors stop in to ask the time or just to see if we can fix a glass that cracked. We don't have a big sign or anything. Just the workbench and some stools for people to sit while they wait. Gumanpura changes a lot, buildings go up and shops close, but we’re still here in the same spot. It’s dusty work, and my eyes get tired by evening, but that’s just how it is. We keep a few new pieces in the glass case too, but most people come for repairs. It’s just a regular shop where we do what we know how to do with our hands. I usually have my tea while looking at a pile of broken springs.
