Agrawal Fancy Store is right on Balita Road, just a short walk from the Kunadi petrol pump in Bapu Nagar. If you’re driving by, you’ve probably seen our sign out front. We keep all sorts of things, from cosmetics and hair clips to small gift items and toys for kids. It’s one of those shops where things are packed in quite tight. We have boxes stacked up and items hanging from the ceiling hooks because there’s never enough shelf space for everything. My family has been running this for a bit. It’s a local spot where people from Bapu Nagar come when they need something quickly and don't want to go into the main city market. The floor is a bit worn down from people coming in and out, but it shows we've been here a while. We don't use any fancy computer systems for the stock; we just know where everything is by memory mostly. Sometimes the dust from the road comes in when it’s windy, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters with an old cloth. It’s just a regular life here. We open up in the morning and stay until the evening rush is over. It’s nothing spectacular, just a shop providing what the neighbors need on a daily basis without making a big deal out of it. We like seeing the same faces every week coming in for their small necessities.
