Aarshid Clinic

Aarshid Clinic is out on Palriya Road in Kawai, which is part of the Salpura area in the Baran district. It’s a bit of a different pace out here compared to the big cities. We deal with the local folks who live and work in the surrounding fields and shops. The clinic is a simple building. We don't have fancy glass walls or expensive art. It’s just a place with some exam tables, some medicine on the shelves, and a place for people to sit while they wait to be seen. Living in Salpura means you know your neighbors. We often know the parents and the kids of the people who come in. The dust from Palriya Road usually finds its way inside no matter how much we sweep, so that is just a daily battle we fight. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoons, so we just sit on the porch and wait for it to come back on. We see a lot of seasonal stuff, like fevers when the weather changes or injuries from working outdoors. We take our time with people because there is no point in rushing. If someone needs to talk for ten minutes about their aches, we listen. It's a small operation. Just a few rooms and a lot of familiar faces. We do our best to help out with whatever health issues come up in the community. It is a quiet life, mostly, and we are fine with that. We just keep the door open and wait to see who needs us.
