Friends Growers & Traders

We’ve been here at C-2a Focal Point for quite a while now. Dealing with crops and trading things back and forth isn't always easy, but it’s what we do. The morning starts early here, usually before the sun is even up properly. Friends Growers & Traders isn't a huge place, just a regular spot where work gets done. Most days involve talking to farmers and checking on what’s coming in from the fields. It can get pretty dusty and loud with the trucks moving around the area. Some people think it’s just about buying and selling, but there is a lot of paperwork and waiting too. We have a few guys helping out with the loading and keeping track of the inventory. The office is small and sometimes the fan makes a weird noise, but it works for us. Living and working in this part of town means you know everyone around. We try to keep things simple. If there is a problem, we just talk it out and fix it. Trading is mostly about being honest about what you have and what it costs. It’s not fancy work, and we don’t try to make it look like something it isn’t. We just stay busy and keep the gates open. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, but that is just part of the life. We are just here doing our thing day in and day out. It’s a lot of lifting bags and checking quality, which keeps us on our toes all day long.
