Located in Bilaspur, our setup for Kalindi Ispat Pvt Ltd. is a bit different because we are over at Advocate Colony in Surajpur. It’s a quiet area mostly, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on the paperwork side of the steel business. Mr. Balbhadra Singh’s place is a well-known landmark around here, so that helps visitors find us without getting lost in the lanes of Sarguja. We spend a lot of time coordinating with the different sites and making sure the supply is moving. It isn't a glamorous job by any means. There is a lot of back and forth between the office and the field. Chhattisgarh has its own rhythm, and we’ve gotten used to how things move here. Some days are long, especially when there are delays or the weather isn't helping. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to get our orders sorted and keep the business running. The staff here is pretty relaxed. We usually share lunch together and talk about things other than just work. It feels more like a small family than a big corporation. We take care of the details and try to be helpful when people call with questions. It’s a practical life, dealing with metal and logistics every day. We stay busy, and that’s about all we can ask for.
