Yogmaya Weavers Private Limited is located in Champa, which is a place famous for its weaving traditions. We are set up care of Shri Netram Dewangan right near the Manjhali Talab, or the middle pond as people call it. Being near the water is nice and it gives the area a bit of a calm feeling compared to the busy markets. Our work is all about weaving and we have been doing this for a long time. Champa is a small town so everyone knows everyone else’s business, and we are just another part of the community here. The sound of the looms is something you get used to very quickly, it becomes like a heartbeat in the background. We don't have any fancy office equipment, just our tools and the yarn we use. The space is often filled with the smell of raw silk and cotton. We work according to the light of the day mostly, starting early in the morning when it is still cool outside. The address is simple because the town is simple. We don't need a lot of marketing because the people who need our weaving know where to find us by the pond. It is a traditional way of life and we are just trying to keep the business going for the next generation. It is hard work on the hands but we are proud of what we make.
