We are based at Mig-399 in Sada Colony, right here in the heart of Korba. Being in Chhattisgarh, you kind of get used to the rhythm of the industrial life. This office is where we handle the day-to-day operations for Spectrum Coal And Power Limited. It is a basic setup, really, with enough desks for the staff and a small area where we keep all the files from the past few years. We don't have a receptionist in a suit or anything; usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from a ledger and say hello. The work is mostly about coordination and making sure the supplies and the power needs are met without too many hiccups. We spend a lot of time on the phone with various contractors and site managers. Sometimes the power cuts out for a bit, which is ironic given what we do, but we just wait it out and get back to it. It’s a steady pace here. We like the fact that we are part of the local community in Sada Colony. Most of us live nearby, so the commute is just a quick walk or a short ride. We just try to stay on top of the regulations and keep the machines running, figuratively speaking. It’s a job that requires attention to detail and a lot of patience. We're just trying to get things done right and keep the office organized.
