Larsen Tourbo Ecc Division

This office is right on the grounds of the Sipat Thermal Power Plant in Bilaspur. Unnikrishnan R is the one running things for the Larsen Tourbo Ecc Division here. Because we’re inside the power plant area, everything feels very industrial. There’s the constant hum of machinery and the sight of big cooling towers in the distance. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it’s where the action is. Our office is a functional space, mostly portable cabins or simple brick rooms designed to be close to the site. We spend most of our time in safety gear, coming in and out to check on progress. The dust is a constant battle, so we’ve given up on keeping everything spotless. We drink a lot of water to stay hydrated in the Chhattisgarh heat. It’s a tough environment, but the team is used to it. We don't have many decorations on the walls, just maps and project schedules. Most of our conversations are about technical issues or delivery timelines. It’s a very practical way of working. We eat at the plant canteen usually. There isn't much around here besides the plant, so we really focus on the job. It’s a dedicated group of people working under Unnikrishnan to make sure everything at Sipat goes according to the plan. We’ve been here since the project started moving and we’ll stay until it's done.
