Janjgir Collectorate

The Janjgir Collectorate is located out in Korba, Chhattisgarh. It’s a pretty significant building in the area and a lot of people pass through here every single day. We handle a lot of the local administrative stuff that keeps the district moving. It’s a government space, so expect plenty of files, long corridors, and people waiting their turn. We try to keep things organized, but with so many people coming in from the surrounding villages, it can get a bit hectic. The office is functional and built for work, not for looking pretty. There are fans humming in every room and the smell of old paper is everywhere. It’s a big responsibility, but we just take it one day at a time. The staff here has been around for years and they know the procedures inside out. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do because it’s just public service at the end of the day. The weather in Korba can be tough, especially in the heat, but the building stays relatively cool. People come here for all sorts of reasons, from land records to certificates. We just do our best to process everything and help out where we can. It’s a busy life but it feels like we’re part of the community here. We just show up and do what the day requires of us.
