Our presence in Korba is a little different because our address is actually care of Sri K.K. Sharma’s place. We are Gannon Dunkerley & Co. Ltd., and while we have the Hyderabad name attached, this specific spot is right near Blue Bird School in Kosabadi. H.K. Sharma handles things here. It’s a local setup in a house, number 23/80, which makes it feel very personal. You won’t find any big company logos on the roof here. We just work out of the rooms provided, keeping track of our local projects in Chhattisgarh. The school nearby means it gets a bit loud when classes let out, but otherwise, it’s a standard residential street. We’ve settled into the routine of the neighborhood quite well. It’s an honest way of working, being right there where the action is instead of in some far-off office tower. We drink a lot of chai and spend a lot of time on the phone or going through spreadsheets. The house is old but sturdy, and it serves us well for what we need to do. It’s just a few of us making sure the work gets done correctly. We don’t need much else besides a desk and a good connection. People in Kosabadi are friendly, and we’ve become a small part of the local scenery over time. It is a simple life here and we just focus on the day ahead.
