Ecoact Foundation

Ecoact Foundation is located in Korba, over in the Ravishankar Shukla Nagar area. We are at LIG-91, which is a standard residential block. Korba is known for its industries and power plants, so there is always a lot of dust and activity in the air. That’s partly why we wanted to start something here. Our office is just a regular house that we’ve converted into a workspace. It’s nothing fancy, just some desks, chairs, and a lot of old files. We spend most of our time talking about local issues and how the environment around here affects the people living in the colony. We aren't some big international group with millions in funding. We are just local residents who noticed things could be better and decided to try and do something about it. Sometimes the power goes out, which is ironic for a town that makes so much of it, but we just wait for it to come back and keep working. The streets are usually filled with people going to work at the plants, so there is a real working-class vibe to the whole neighborhood. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to polish our image. We just do the work, file the papers, and try to be helpful to our neighbors in Ravishankar Shukla Nagar. It’s honest, hard work and we are happy to be doing it here.
