Our office for Vedanta Aluminium Limited is situated in Borigumma, specifically on Manikeswari Marg. It’s at the address of Jyoti Prasannapanigrahi, care of Jagabandhu Panigrahi. Being out here in the Koraput district of Orissa is quite different from being in a big city. The landscape is beautiful, but the work is still hard. We have a small group of staff who have lived here most of their lives. We share our lunches and talk about the local news. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment with suits and ties. We wear what’s comfortable for the weather and the work. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We are just a small part of a big company, doing our bit in Borigumma. We take care of our tasks and look after the paperwork.
