Our place is situated in the Gridco Colony, right by the 220Kv station in Jeypore. We are out in the Koraput district of Orissa, which is a bit of a trek for some, but it’s where we do our thing. The post office is Jayanagar, and the pin code is 764005. It’s quite an industrial-looking area with all the power lines and the grid right there, but you get used to the hum after a while. We use an old Yahoo email address, my_job24, for most of our stuff because it just works and we’ve had it forever. The office isn't much to look at, just some rooms where we keep our files and handle the daily logbooks. The weather out here can be quite something, especially during the monsoon when it pours down on the colony roads. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the tasks at hand. There’s a lot of coming and going with the staff who live in the colony. It’s a practical location for what we do. We don’t have a big sign out front or anything. Most people who need to find us already know where the Gridco station is. We’ve got a few computers and some stacks of paper that always seem to be growing. It’s just how we run things here. No big corporate vibes, just people working in a corner of Orissa.
