Down here in Sunabeda, things move at a bit of a slower pace than the big cities. We are set up in the HAL Township, specifically at Quarter Number I-13. Kartik Swain is the one you usually find here if you drop by during the day. Being in Koraput district means we are surrounded by hills and a lot of greenery, which is nice but the red soil gets on everything during the dry months. We focus on construction projects around the township and the nearby areas in Orissa. It is not a big setup with hundreds of staff; it is more about a few of us making sure the materials arrive on time and the workers know what they are doing for the day. The office is really just a room in the township quarters where we keep the blueprints and the computer. We have been part of this community for a long time, so everyone knows where to find us. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow out here, so we end up doing a lot of things the old-fashioned way with notebooks and phone calls. It gets quiet in the evenings after the shifts at the HAL factory end. We are not trying to be the biggest company in the world, just doing the jobs we have properly. There is always some new repair or small building project starting up that keeps us busy with the daily chores of running a site.
