Laxmi Coffee Estate

Laxmi Coffee Estate is tucked away in the Main Market of Koraput. Being near the Medical Hospital means there’s always a lot of movement outside our doors. People are coming and going at all hours. Koraput has that nice weather that makes you want to stay indoors with a hot drink anyway. We deal with the coffee that comes in from the estate and it keeps us pretty busy most of the year. The market noise is just part of our daily life now. You get used to the shouting of the vendors and the smell of the nearby food stalls. Our space isn't huge, but it fits everything we need. We spend hours just talking to the folks who drop in after their hospital visits or while they’re doing their weekly shopping. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the road work nearby, but we keep things moving. We aren't a big corporation or anything like that. It’s just a local business run by people who grew up around here. We know the shortcuts in the market and which days are going to be the most hectic. Sometimes the rain in Koraput gets so heavy we just have to sit and wait it out. That’s when the shop feels the most peaceful. We’ve been part of this community for a long time and we don't plan on going anywhere else. It’s just how we live and work here.
