Asha Kiran Hospital

We are located in Asha Nagar, out in Lamtaput. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the big cities, and we like it that way. The hospital sits right there in the neighborhood, so we see a lot of the same faces over and over again. It’s the kind of place where the staff remembers your name after just a couple of visits. We handle a bit of everything here. Since we’re in Lamtaput, we have to be ready for whatever walks through the door at any hour. Sometimes it’s a farmer who got hurt out in the field, and other times it’s just a local kid with a bad cough. The building is simple and doesn't have any of those shiny glass fronts you see in the city hospitals. We have a few wards and a small waiting area that can get a bit hot in the summer months, but we keep the fans running. We don't have a PR department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just open up early in the morning and stay until the work is finished. It’s a local operation, through and through. Living and working in Asha Nagar means we are just part of the everyday scenery. We try to be helpful and keep things moving. It isn't always perfect, and sometimes the medicine delivery is late, but we manage to get things done.
