Laxmi Engineers

Laxmi Engineers is located at H.No. 28 in Ward No. 31, which sits right behind the Baldota House in Gandhi Nagar. It’s a quiet enough street, mostly houses and some small home businesses like ours. We have been working out of this spot for a long time. The workshop is where we spend most of the daylight hours fixing parts and looking at technical drawings. It gets quite greasy on the floor but we try to sweep it out every Saturday. Our neighbors are mostly families who have lived here for generations so everyone knows when we are busy by the sound of the tools. We don't have any big signs or bright lights outside. People usually find us by word of mouth or if they live in the ward and need something repaired. My brother helps with the heavy lifting and we have a few tools that have been with us since we started. Sometimes the power goes out in Gandhi Nagar and we just have to sit outside on the steps and wait for it to come back on. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around, just trying to do the work that comes in. If a customer brings a problem, we take a look and see what can be done. It is straightforward work and it keeps us occupied from morning until the sun goes down.
