Magnum Impex

Our office is in Block Y-65 on the Lower Ground Floor in Hauz Khas. Being on the LGF means the rooms stay a bit cooler during the summer, which is a nice relief from the Delhi heat. Hauz Khas is a famous area, but our specific corner is relatively quiet compared to the busy main market. We handle all our import and export tasks from this little basement spot. There are shelves filled with old ledgers and files because we still like keeping paper copies of everything. The lighting is not the brightest, but it is good enough for us to see our work. We spend most of the day looking at spreadsheets and talking to different customs agents on the phone. It is not the most exciting job in the world, but it is what we know how to do. We have a small pantry where we make our own coffee and occasionally share some snacks. People often think this area is only for shopping or eating out, but there is a lot of real work happening in these back streets. We have been in this Y-65 block for many years now. The door sticks a little and the floor is not perfectly even, but it feels right to us. We do not have any marketing staff. We just answer the calls and do whatever work comes through the door. Usually, we are here until the evening when the street lamps finally come on.
