Gajanana Agency sits right on Bhopalpatnam Road in Pocharam, and it’s a pretty straightforward operation. We handle a lot of goods coming in and out, so the space at 6-98-3251 is usually filled with boxes and crates piled up high. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we generally know where everything is tucked away. The road outside is often loud with trucks going toward the border, which makes it a bit hard to hear the phone sometimes. We have a small crew here, and everyone just mucks in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s unloading a van or writing out the manifests. The weather gets really humid here, so the office can feel a bit stuffy in the afternoons. We try to keep the paperwork in order, but sometimes things get a bit messy when we are in a rush. It is a lot of back-and-forth with drivers and suppliers all day long. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just a couple of calendars on the wall and a dusty clock that runs a few minutes slow. People know us as the place on the corner where there’s always something being moved around. It is just honest work, and we stay busy enough to not worry about much else. We’ve been at this spot for a few years and have gotten used to the rhythm of the road and the heat.
