Chenduvai Cheyutha Foundation

We’re up on the second floor at D.No. 38/232-34-4, right in the Yanadi Colony area of Ramanjaneyapuram. It’s a bit of a trek to find us if you don't know the streets, but once you’re here, you’ll see we’re just a plain office trying to do right by the local community. Chenduvai Cheyutha was started because we noticed a lot of families in the colony were slipping through the cracks. We don't have a lot of resources, but we have time and we know the people here. Most of our day is spent visiting houses or sitting in the office talking to people who drop in. We help with small things that make a big difference, like getting uniforms for kids or helping a widow find some steady work. It’s not glamorous and we don't have a website with fancy photos. It’s just us, working in the heat, trying to make the colony a little better for everyone who lives here. Sometimes we run out of money before the month is over, and we just have to wait and see what comes in. It’s a bit precarious, but we’ve managed to keep going for a while now. The people in Ramanjaneyapuram are hardworking, and they deserve a bit of a hand when things get tough. We’re just glad we can be the ones to offer it from our little spot on the second floor. It is just honest work for us.
