Mrinmoy Banerjee & Co.

Mrinmoy Banerjee & Co. is based in the village area of Kutighat, which is in West Midnapur. It is a very different vibe from working in a big city. Things move a bit slower here and we like it that way. The office is close to the riverbank and the air is usually quite fresh, especially in the mornings. We have a couple of rooms where we handle all the accounts and the correspondence. It is a very local operation. Most of our clients are people we see at the market or around the village. We do not have any slick advertising or a big website. Most people just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the small board we have outside. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just talking to people who drop by for a cup of tea. The floors are stone and they stay cool even when it is baking outside. We have an old cupboard full of files that goes back many years. It is a quiet life, but the work is steady and it keeps us busy. We do not try to be anything we are not. We are just a group of people working together in Kutighat, doing what we know how to do. Some people might find it boring, but for us, it is just life.
