Nava Vastra Clothing

Nava Vastra Clothing is based out in the Apparel Export Park in Gundlapochampally, near Kompally. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but this is where all the textile action is. We are at unit 104. The park is full of warehouses and factories, so it feels very industrial. We’ve got a decent amount of space here to move things around. Most of our day is spent checking on the machines or making sure the bundles are ready to go out. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of lint in the air and the hum of the fans is always in the background. We have a bunch of local workers who come in from the nearby villages. They are good people and they know their way around a sewing machine. We don't have a marketing department or anything. We just handle the orders as they come. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit, but that's just part of being out here in this area. It’s a straightforward operation. We make the clothes, we pack them, and we ship them. There isn't much more to it than that. We like being part of the export park because everything we need is right here. It's just a steady, working-class business that keeps us busy from morning until evening every single day.
