Our place is called Kodattu Thottathil, Puthen Veedu. It’s located in Kottarakara, which is a busy enough part of Kollam. We’ve been operating Weronika Abroad Private Limited from here for a while. It’s a traditional kind of house-turned-office setup. You won't see a big neon sign outside. It’s more of a local landmark for the people living nearby. We handle things related to going abroad, which involves a lot of reading and checking documents. It’s mostly just sitting at the table and going through files. The house has a bit of a garden around it, so it’s fairly peaceful even when the traffic in Kottarakara is heavy. We usually have the windows open to let the breeze in, though it gets hot in the afternoons. Sometimes neighbors stop by for a chat since we’ve been here so long. It’s not like those big corporate offices in the city. We wear casual clothes and just talk like normal people. There’s always some paperwork piled up on the corner desk. We spend our days answering phones and filling out forms. It’s steady work. We like the pace here. It’s familiar and we know the neighborhood well.
