Watch Palace

Watch Palace has been situated on Beach Road for quite some time now. Being right by the water means we deal with a lot of salt in the air, which isn't always great for delicate watch parts, but we have our ways of managing it. We mostly spend our time sitting behind the counter with magnifying glasses, looking into the tiny gears of clocks and wristwatches. It is quiet work for the most part, though the sound of many clocks ticking at once fills the shop. People stop in because they need a new battery or a strap that hasn't worn out. We also have some new watches on display in the glass cases, but the repair work is what keeps us busy every day. Beach Road is a nice place to have a shop because of the breeze. We aren't a big chain store with matching uniforms. We are just a local watch shop where you can come in and chat while we look at your watch. Sometimes a repair takes longer than expected if we have to wait for a specific part to arrive. We try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It is a small space, and we have lived in this town for years, so we know most of the faces that come in. If you have an old clock that stopped ticking, you bring it here and we see what we can do. The shop is usually open six days a week.
