Watch Palace

Watch Palace is located on Beach Road in Kollam. We are right by Benziger Hospital, which makes us very easy to find for anyone in the Chinnakada area. The shop has been around for some time, and we focus entirely on watches and clocks. It’s a bit of a traditional place. When you walk in, you can hear a lot of different clocks ticking at the same time. It’s a sound we’ve grown very fond of. We do a lot of battery replacements and strap repairs right there behind the small counter. The light is focused on our work area because some of those watch parts are incredibly tiny. Beach Road can get quite breezy, which is a nice break from the heat. We see a lot of people who are visiting the hospital or just walking toward the shore. It’s a steady life. We don’t have a big corporate structure, just a few of us who know our way around a watch movement. Most of our day is spent looking through a magnifying glass or talking to people about their old timepieces. Some of the watches brought in have a lot of history, and we enjoy hearing the stories. The shop isn't huge, but every inch of wall space is pretty much covered with something that tells time. We open early and stay until the evening, just keeping the watches running for whoever stops by the bench.
