Vkh Exim Private Limited is based out of Rose Villa in a village called Nallila, near Kottarakkara. It’s quite a peaceful area in the Nedumpana Village circle of Kollam. Running an export-import business from a place like Rose Villa is a bit different than being in a big city office. We don't have the constant noise of city traffic, just the usual village sounds and the occasional bus going by. Our work involves a lot of coordination with people far away, so we are often on our computers or the phone for most of the day. We deal with all sorts of trade goods, making sure they are packed right and the documents are all in order for the customs people. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we like the quiet of Nallilachery. Most of the people working here are from around this area, so it feels very local. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby. It’s just a house that we use for our business operations. Sometimes it’s a bit of a drive to get to the main shipping hubs, but we don't mind the travel. We’ve built this business up slowly, focusing on doing things the right way without a lot of fuss. It’s just about getting the products from point A to point B and making sure the paperwork doesn't have any mistakes in it. We take it one day at a time.
