Down at Asan Junction in Kureepuzha, you’ll find Vazhethu Sreedhanwanthari Ayurvedic Hospital. We are in the Ramankulangara area. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main city. We focus on traditional Ayurvedic treatments. The building is simple and we try to keep it calm inside. People come to us when they aren't feeling well or just need some regular care. We have several rooms for treatments and a small waiting area. The smell of oils and herbs is always in the air. We don’t use a lot of high-tech gadgets; we stick to what we know works. The staff lives nearby, so we’re all part of the local community. Kureepuzha is a nice place to be based. We see patients who have been coming to us for years. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone tells their cousin or a neighbor about us and they show up at our door. We spend our mornings preparing the medicines and our afternoons seeing patients. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just carry on. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't have a corporate feel at all. It’s just us doing our jobs at Asan Junction. We’ve been here for a long time and we plan to stay. It’s a steady life and we appreciate the people who trust us with their health. The seasons change but our routine stays pretty much the same day after day.
