Upasana Hospital

Upasana Hospital is located right on QS Road. It’s a pretty central spot, though the road itself can be quite a headache with all the traffic during peak hours. The hospital has been here as a fixture for the community for a long time. When you walk inside, you’ll notice it’s a very practical environment. We don't spend much time on aesthetics; it’s all about the beds, the medicine, and the patients. The floors are tiled and get mopped constantly because of all the feet walking through. There’s a particular smell to the place—a mix of cleaning supplies and hospital air—that you get used to after five minutes. On QS Road, things are always moving, and that energy carries into the building. We have different sections for different needs, but everything is contained within this one site. The waiting benches are usually occupied by people from the neighborhood. Some stay for a short while, others are here for the long haul with relatives. We have a small staff that works in shifts to keep the place open twenty-four hours. It’s a demanding job, and sometimes the air conditioning doesn't work as well as we'd like on the hot days.
