2 Ten Designer Boutique

2 Ten Designer Boutique is over in Thevally, right where things stay pretty busy throughout the week. I started this because I just liked putting pieces of cloth together and seeing how they looked. Now we have racks full of different styles and fabrics. It’s not a huge space, but it fits what we need. Most of the time, you’ll find me or the girls working on a hem or looking at some new fabric that just arrived on the truck. We get a lot of local ladies coming in for stuff they can wear to weddings or just out for a nice dinner. It gets a bit crowded on Saturday afternoons. Sometimes the sewing machine acts up, and we have to wait for the repair guy to show up, which is a real pain when we have orders waiting. We try to keep a variety of colors in stock. People in Thevally like their bright tones, especially for the festive seasons. I usually spend my mornings checking the inventory and making sure everything is hung up properly on the racks. It’s a lot of folding and re-folding. Clothes don’t stay neat on their own for very long. We don't do any big advertising, mostly people just see the sign and walk in. It’s nice when a regular customer brings a friend along. That’s how we’ve stayed open this long. We just focus on the stitching and making sure the fit is right for everyone. If a sleeve is too long, we fix it. That's just how we do things at 2 Ten.
