Tarackattu Hospital is right here in Anchal. It’s a local place that most people in Anchal know about just by living here. The building isn't anything grand, just a solid structure that’s been part of the landscape for years. We don't have a big PR team writing our descriptions, so what you see is basically what you get. It’s a hospital run by people who live in the same community as the patients. Most mornings start with the staff arriving and getting the wards ready. There’s a lot of cleaning and organizing that goes on behind the scenes that nobody really sees. The hallways can be a bit narrow, and sometimes it gets crowded when families come to visit, but we make it work. We have a few benches outside for when people need some fresh air. It’s a very straightforward way of running a hospital. We don’t use a lot of medical jargon when we talk to people; we just explain things simply. The records are kept in big cabinets that are starting to get full. We’ve thought about moving to a bigger place, but this spot in Anchal is home. It’s where we started and where we’ll probably stay. It’s just a regular, working hospital that focuses on the daily tasks of taking care of whoever walks through the front doors today.
