Sreelekshmi Cashew Enterprises Private Limited

We are over in Kollam, right at Kadappakkada. The building is called Lekshmi Prabha. Kollam is known for cashews, and we are just one of the many places around here doing this kind of work. The warehouse stays pretty busy from Monday to Saturday. You’ll see bags of raw cashews piled up almost to the ceiling sometimes. We have to keep a close eye on the moisture because the weather here in Kerala can get very damp. It’s a lot of manual labor. People are always moving, grading the nuts or moving sacks around. We don't really have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the middle of the floor checking the stock. The office part is just a small room with a fan and a couple of old chairs. It gets noisy with the trucks coming in and out of Kadappakkada. We’ve known the drivers for years. We just try to get the orders filled and sent out on time. Sometimes the machinery acts up, and we have to fix it ourselves. It’s not a polished operation, but it’s honest work. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the business is done over the phone or just face to face. It’s just how we’ve always done things here in Kollam. We just keep our heads down and work.
